There is some good news with the updated marketplace policies:

• You still have to pay a registration free which entitles you to 5 free app submissions
• But any further “paid for” app submissions are free
• Only “free” app submissions have a cost associated
• Also MS are introducing the Trial API
• Includes the Push Notification service.
